The Balaji Hydromet Propeller Type Water Current Meter (BHM-H-CM01) is a high-precision hydrological instrument designed for measuring water velocity and discharge in rivers, canals, streams, irrigation channels, reservoirs, and hydraulic structures. Manufactured to meet the requirements of hydrological survey organizations, irrigation departments, research institutions, and environmental monitoring agencies, the BHM-H-CM01 delivers reliable and repeatable velocity measurements under diverse field conditions.
The instrument operates on the proven propeller current meter principle, where flowing water rotates a precision-balanced propeller mounted on a stainless-steel spindle. Each propeller rotation generates an electrical pulse through a magnet and reed switch assembly. These pulses are processed by the Digital Velocity Indicator/Logger (DVI-v1), which converts rotational data into accurate water velocity values expressed in meters per second (m/s).
Suitable for both wading and suspension measurements, the BHM-H-CM01 is widely used for stream gauging, discharge determination, river cross-section surveys, flood monitoring, irrigation water management, hydrological investigations, and water resources development projects throughout India and internationally.
